I am a visual artist with a background in applied arts and ceramics.
I work across many creative practices including sculpting, mark making, drawing, illustration and digital imagery.
I tend to not limit myself to just one material or process, making a conscious choice to combine various media.
My work explores layers and transparency, both through the materials I use and the themes of adaption and reflection.
I am interested in how the body and identity can change over time whether it be drawn from external influences or an expression from within.
My early ceramic pieces challenged traditional depictions of female beauty and focused very much on the form.
My recent work has become more abstract, working predominantly two dimensional, however I am currently in the process of transforming my illustrative designs into three dimensional forms.
I am a socially engaged artist, developing my participatory practice through the delivery of workshops and projects with various arts organisations, schools and community groups.
I am based in the East Midlands and have been involved with projects throughout the UK.
